The I AM ATHLETE Podcast
Podcasts are digital recording audios that are internet streamed through many media platforms. Podcasts are one of the more favorable media outlets we listen to on a daily whether its about news, information, or gossip. We enjoy the authenticity we find in many shows and the I AM ATHLETE podcast has been that authentic podcast show for current and former athletes to talk about things outside of the lines.
The show I AM ATHLETE star host are Brandon Marshall, Fred Taylor, Chad Johnson, and Channing Crowder. All four of these men are retired NFL players who like to connect the dots with conversation about life with football and life outside of the numbers. Sure, we see many pro athletes star on shows on television on Fox Sports, CBS sports, and ESPN. Yes, we may find some these sports talk shows to be informal and entertaining however, the conversation topics can be fixed and limited. With I AM ATHLETE their main goal was to bring authenticity to the forefront for athletes, life lessons, social issues, and black entrepreneurs. Many conversations on I AM ATHLETE are intense, passionate, reflecting, real, and hilarious. These four men come from similar backgrounds but different walks of life.
Brandon Marshall who is the main host the who monitors the conversations has a background in broadcasting appearing on sports talk shows such as Fox Sports First Things First and Showtime’s Inside the NFL. Marshall is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he attended UCF and was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2006. Marshall went on and played for several teams and concluded his career in 2018. Brandon with his knowledge of the game and life given experiences has really pushed the needle forward. When it comes to business, health and wellness, and providing advice mental health for athletes Brandon Marshall is most definitely making his presence be known. Brandon has also opened his owned gym facility in Weston, Florida. A place where athletes can build their health and wellness and can enhance knowledge on the importance of nutrition.
The podcast would bring on many former athletes, coaches, and influential people to spark good conversation. We’ve witness episodes regarding the Black Lives Matter movement, talks about the power black athletes attending historically black colleges, and political movements such as voting. For the month of February, the I AM ATHLETE team would like to highlight black history month and with March around the corner the team would also like to highlight the women empowerment. Every episode the athletes get a well-cooked and prepared meal from their Chef Nancy. Chef Nancy is well known Chef from Queens, New York. She has served as a Chef for some significant celebrities and athletes. With I AM ATHLETE it gives Chef Nancy the platform to display her talent, knowledge, and skills. This show has even displayed some of the spouses of these former pro athletes. Each one of their spouses that made an appearance on the show have shared their experiences being alongside these men through better and worse of their lives. Showing the influence, a woman can have on a man and what the ups and downs of a healthy relationship can be like.
I AM ATHLETE has been entertaining for fans and serviceable for athletes who walk the similar paths. This podcast is available to your main media streaming outlets via Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube. I AM ATHLETE has just concluded season number two with many more to come.
